Power Plant & Environmental Chemistry (PPEC) Research Committee Meeting
August 26 - August 28
This group of power plant chemists meets twice a year to discuss approximately two dozen technical presentations per meeting on a wide array of topics of interest to power plant chemists. Membership in the group is restricted to power plant chemists and individuals whose primary role is providing technical support to power plants. Mr. John McGraw and Stephen P. Donner are scheduled to attend this conference on behalf of STPA.
Mr. Donner will be presenting a paper titled: “When All There Is, Is Not Enough”. The presentation is a review of a tetra-ammonium EDTA cleaning on a forced circulation boiler with short preparation time and limited tetra-ammonium availability. Tetra-sodium EDTA was used to complete the iron step and perform the copper removal and passivation step.
